Does this happen ONLY for the load averages monitor type, or
    for any type?

That is odd .. does your AIX system have the 'uptime'
    command installed?

  • Logged In: NO

Yes, it has the 'uptime' command installed.
    like this:
    "05:20PM up 2 days, 16:11, 1 user, load average: 1.42,
    1.87, 2.34"

    That looks fine ..
Since I don't have an AIX box of my own, I am out of ideas
    on this one, sorry.
Unless perhaps another monitor is causing the problem. Which
    monitors do you have defined?

    Thank you.

I have defined monitors of Sendmail Server, LotusDomino
process check, and Oracle process check.
    These work fine.

I try to monitor the CPUUtilization by aixmibd daemon and
    MRTG, or Bigsister.

Does the problem still happen if you have the load average
    monitor, but NO others?

  • Logged In: NO

    Yes, the problem still happens.
Not.gif is always displayed in the "Last check" column of
    the load average monitor.

What output do you get if you run
/etc/webmin/status/monitor.pl as root at the shell prompt?

  • Logged In: NO

    I get no output.
After a few seconds, "#" appears again.

No output indicates that the error is not occurring when the
monitor is run from the command line ..
I really can't make any further suggestions here, as this
monitor works OK on my Linux, Solaris and BSD systems .. it
only seems to effect AIX for some reason.

    Thank you for your reply.
I try the other tools, MRTG, Bigsister, Tivoli, and so on.
