I have a CentOS 4.2 server installed. When I downloaded
the latest version of webmin, version
1.240-1.noarch.rpm, during the install it reported the
OS as Generic Linux. This seemed to throw off all the
install files, so the Samba module wasn't working cause
it had incorrect locations for all the files. I pulled
version 1-210-1.noarch.rpm from on of my other CentOS 4
servers and during the install it correctly idenfied
the system as CentOS Linux. I installed the new version
twice to make sure that it wasn't just an error with
the first install.

This is caused by a bug in Webmin and a change in the CentOS
release file. The work-around is to remove webmin, copy
    /etc/redhat-release to /etc/centos-release , and re-install
    Webmin.
Future versions will not have this problem..
