i've installed a fresh copy of the latest (1.120) webmin
on a gentoo server.
to my surprise the sendmail module was missing.

trying to manually install it gives me "module not
supported on this os".
but it worked fine before...

so i've downloaded the sendmail module and checked if
i could find the problem.
and i did.
in the module.info file, there is some weird text to just tell
webmin that it's supported on gentoo
something like "gentoo-linux {sebdmail......."
replacing it with "gentoo-linux" fixed the problem

would be nice if coudl fix that for the next release..
thnx

On Gentoo, because Sendmail is not installed by default Webmin will only
show the Sendmail module if the file /etc/sendmail.cf or /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
exists. This is done because Gentoo uses Postfix as its default standard
mail server, so there is little point showing the Sendmail module.

So the solution to your problem is to install Sendmail first, after which the
Webmin module for it will become visible.
