I used WANem to do some delay / Jitter injection using bridge mode with dump device, and it works great. I am interesting in puting WANem to USB stick instead of CD. Does anyone has done so ? any suggestion.
Using the VMware appliance version of WANem on VMWare Pocket ACE should do the trick.
Its possible,Currently I am working on it.I will add the steps shortly.
Any update on this ? Thanks.
You can boot WANem with USB stick,Folow the instructions given on this URL http://www.pendrivelinux.com/usb-knoppix-531-install-using-windows/
One change you have to do here is instead of Knoppix ISO you have to copy WANem ISO to the respective folder.I have tried this on my HP TX 1000 laptop it works.
Thanks, that works great.
I am looking for modify the start script so I can customize the network interfaces setup without go through the "menu" at start up time.
First of all, WANem rocks!
I'm still learning linux basics but wouldn't it be possible to modify the /etc/rc.local script in the ISO. You could use "ifconfig" to configure the interfaces and also "route" to add all your custom routing.
Would this work devs? If so, I'll try it out and post the details.
