mpeg2 libraries are included with vxl. The cmake configuration files are set up so that by default the build will use system mpeg2 libraries if they exist, and if not, the included mpeg2 libraries (in v3p/mpeg2) will be compiled and used. You can set the following in cmake VXL_FORCE_V3P_MPEG2:BOOL=YES Either append it to the cache, or change the setting vie the cmake gui. This will tell the build to use the included mpeg2 libs, regardless of whether the system has mpeg2 libs. It looks to me that this may solve your problem by completely bypassing the check for system mpeg2 libs.
