I have two problems:
1. I'd like to use the mil_gaussian_pyramid_builder_2d_general. While I
was able to build the pyramid, my problem now is, that there seems to
exist no interface to the vil or the vgui library. If I want to display
a mil-image (which is what I get from the pyramid) with vgui, I have to
save it to a file and to reload it, which is quite ugly. Why is there

As output I got either the input image or a completely black image. Any
Additionally, there is the same interface problem as above, only
vil_images are accepted as input.
