I just added a diary entry as Ian suggested. I suspect that I may have been the unknown username that made him nervous. Here is my entry... I work at the GE Corporate R&D Center in Niskayuna, NY. I use VXL mostly for vxl/vil and vxl/vnl to help with an image super-resolution project. Geoff Cross worked on the same project before me. Since I am quite new to VXL and don't want to break anything I will continue to route any non-trivial changes I have through more experienced people. -Fred Wheeler -- Fred Wheeler, GE CRD, KWC-303 Phone: 518-387-7225 Fax: 518-387-4042 -----Original Message----- From: Ian Scott [mailto:ian...@st...] Sent: Friday, January 11, 2002 11:23 AM To: Vxl-maintainers (E-mail) Subject: [Vxl-maintainers] Information about each developer Hi all, There are now 30 people with write access to the VXL repository. I think it would be very helpful to everyone if we all knew a little more about each other. Speaking for myself, I get a little nervous when I see a username I don't recognise making modifications to the core of VXL. Perhaps everyone with write access to the repository could add a public entry to their SF diary labelled "Interest in VXL", and list their organisation, and reason why they are interested in VXL. For the benefit of new developers, perhaps the oldies could briefly describe their contributions to VXL. As a start, I have done this for myself. See http://sourceforge.net/developer/diary.php?diary_id=6378&diary_user=261110 Geoff, maybe you could encourage any new developers to add this detail. One possible alternative would be to have a single web page listing this information for all developers. Does anyone else think that this is a good idea? Ian. _______________________________________________ Vxl-maintainers mailing list Vxl...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/vxl-maintainers |
