Sounds good to me..
I'd like to ask for your comments on if it's OK to make the final 1.17.0 release. For now there are two issues
with RC3. First, Clang support is not good and there are still build errors in Clang submissons. Second,
Mathieu reported build errors on his Debian machine.
I think none of them should hold back the release date. I suggest to add full Clang support in the next release
as it might take lot of time. The Debian build issues cannot be reproduced and may result from something
other than VXL source code.

see in your ctest script
that BRL, MUL, PRIP are not built, and your RC3 build stops
at BRL. It seems that
VXL does not support clang very well for now, and there are build errors in the other two dashboard builds
with Clang (Ubuntu-Clang++3.0). Dashboard builds with Clang should have setup at least one build that
Given the fact that clang is not mainstream and few of the maintainers in this list are familiar with it,
I suggest clang support be removed in 1.17.0 release and added in the next release planned in Q4 this year,
or the current release date would be hold back for another peroid of time.
