I was sitting in a meeting today with our crappy old conference room
laptop running IE6 on the projector and the icons in the catalogue stood
out like a sore thumb.
Because IE6 doesn't pay attention to the alpha channel in PNGs they
load to make IE6 read the alpha channel (we do it on some other
servers), but I'm wondering if the extra complexity is worth it?
Should we just convert all the graphics to gifs to avoid the added
overhead? I haven't seen any icons that are so detailed they'd be
degraded much (if at all).
Really though I'm happy either way, I'd just like to implement here what
would be implemented in the open code.
