Do you see any errors when starting? Or any in the log files for Jetty?
The error message sounds like it's being returned by a web server, not a generic browser message, so my guesses would be one of two errors:
a) You are hitting your apache install on port 80 looking for /solr/ which will return that error. Simple error, simple fix.
b) You are running a web server already on port 8080 and Jetty fails on startup, in which case you should see some errors somewhere. You can run netstat to see what is listening on 8080.
