Hi, I've a problem displaying the call number, location and status of the search items.I guess there might be some problem using the ILS driver. When I change the ILS driver in the config file to Voyager,it displays them as below: driver = Voyager Call Number: Loading Located: Loading Loading... However, when I change the driver to "Sample",the call numbers, location n status displays normally. driver = Sample Call Number: A1234.567 Located: 3rd Floor Main Library Available I've modified the voyager file provided by the project head, [Catalog] host = ************** port = **** service = **** user = ******* password = ******* database = ******* pwebrecon = **************************************** Also,I've an id from amazon from where I can retrieve the images of the searchitems(text books etc.,) and display them as a thumbnail to the left of the data...However,images were not displayed which says,"No image Available" in the same thumbnail where image was supposed to display.... Any kind of help would be appreciated.... It definitely sounds like there is some sort of problem talking to your Voyager system. You might want to double-check your Voyager.ini settings and make sure that no firewall issues are preventing your VuFind server from talking to your Voyager box. Have you ever worked with Firebug in Firefox? It's a useful debugging tool in situations like this -- using Firebug to watch the AJAX call that loads item statuses may reveal some helpful details about exactly what is going wrong. Just install Firebug (http://getfirebug.com/) and inspect the Net / XHR area. If you need further help, let us know! Regarding your Amazon issue, are you seeing any thumbnails at all? Amazon's collection is not comprehensive, so it is normal for some books to still show up as "cover not available." However, if even recent, popular books are failing to get covers, you may have a configuration problem. Under [Content], is the "coverimages" setting set to "Amazon:[your access key]"? Is the amazonsecret setting filled in correctly? - Demian > -----Original Message----- > From: andrewdps [mailto:mst...@gm...] > Sent: Sunday, March 14, 2010 1:01 PM > To: vuf...@li... > Subject: [VuFind-Tech] Search Results problem > > > Hi, > > I've a problem displaying the call number, location and status of the > search > items.I guess there might be some problem using the ILS driver. When I > change > the ILS driver in the config file to Voyager,it displays them as below: > > driver = Voyager > > Call Number: Loading > Located: Loading > Loading... > > However, when I change the driver to "Sample",the call numbers, location > n > status displays normally. > > driver = Sample > > Call Number: A1234.567 > Located: 3rd Floor Main Library > Available > > I've modified the voyager file provided by the project head, > [Catalog] > host = ************** > port = **** > service = **** > user = ******* > password = ******* > database = ******* > pwebrecon = **************************************** > > > Also,I've an id from amazon from where I can retrieve the images of the > searchitems(text books etc.,) and display them as a thumbnail to the > left of > the data...However,images were not displayed which says,"No image > Available" > in the same thumbnail where image was supposed to display.... > > Any kind of help would be appreciated.... > > Regards, > Andrew. > -- > View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Search-Results- > problem-tp27896297p27896297.html > Sent from the vufind-tech mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > > ----------------------------------------------------------------------- > ------- > Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval > Try the new software tools for yourself. Hi, The Amazon part of the application is working well, except that few images are not displaying, which I guess is not a problem with the application. However,I've same problem with call numbers, location and status displaying "loading",despite installing PDO_OCI as suggested in this post http://old.nabble.com/Why-can%27t-VuFind-talk-to-Voyager--to24090887.html I've tried using firebug just now(Excuse me as I'm new to all this stuff),but I didn't get any clue of what might be wrong. Inspecting the XHR area in Net,I get the Reponse section as <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <AJAXResponse> <br /> Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[HY000]: pdo_oci_handle_factory: ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor (/tmp/pear/download/PDO_OCI-1.0/oci_driver.c:463)' in /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php:53 Stack trace: #0 /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php(53): PDO->__construct('oci:dbname=(DES...', 'ro_gmudb', 'ro_gmudb') #1 /usr/local/vufind/web/CatalogConnection.php(66): Voyager->__construct() #2 /usr/local/vufind/web/services/Search/AJAX.php(69): CatalogConnection->__construct('Voyager') #3 /usr/local/vufind/web/services/Search/AJAX.php(33): AJAX->getItemStatuses() #4 /usr/local/vufind/web/index.php(161): AJAX->launch() #5 {main} thrown in /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php on line 53<br /> and XML section as XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: moz-nullprincipal:{47827249-b45d-455f-b831-40eae44e7311} Line Number 14, Column 1: Any idea of what went wrong... Based on the error you saw in Firebug, it sounds like VuFind is having trouble connecting to Voyager's Oracle database. One solution that has helped some libraries is to change "SERVICE_NAME=" to "SID=" in the connection string around line 47 of web/Drivers/Voyager.php. Please let us know if this solves your problem or if you need further assistance! thanks, Demian > -----Original Message----- > From: andrewdps [mailto:mst...@gm...] > Sent: Monday, March 15, 2010 2:57 PM > To: vuf...@li... > Subject: Re: [VuFind-Tech] Search Results problem > > > Hi, > > The Amazon part of the application is working well, except that few > images > are not displaying, which I guess is not a problem with the > application. However,I've same problem with call numbers, location and > status > displaying "loading",despite installing PDO_OCI as suggested in this > post > http://old.nabble.com/Why-can%27t-VuFind-talk-to-Voyager-- > to24090887.html > > I've tried using firebug just now(Excuse me as I'm new to all this > stuff),but I didn't get any clue of what might be wrong. > Inspecting the XHR area in Net,I get the Reponse section as > > <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> > <AJAXResponse> > <br /> > Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message > 'SQLSTATE[HY000]: pdo_oci_handle_factory: ORA-12514: TNS:listener does > not > currently know of service requested in connect descriptor > (/tmp/pear/download/PDO_OCI-1.0/oci_driver.c:463)' in > /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php:53 > Stack trace: > #0 /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php(53): > PDO->__construct('oci:dbname=(DES...', 'ro_gmudb', 'ro_gmudb') > #1 /usr/local/vufind/web/CatalogConnection.php(66): > Voyager->__construct() > #2 /usr/local/vufind/web/services/Search/AJAX.php(69): > CatalogConnection->__construct('Voyager') > #3 /usr/local/vufind/web/services/Search/AJAX.php(33): > AJAX->getItemStatuses() > #4 /usr/local/vufind/web/index.php(161): AJAX->launch() > #5 {main} > thrown in /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php on line 53<br /> > > and XML section as > > XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: > moz-nullprincipal:{47827249-b45d-455f-b831-40eae44e7311} Line Number > 14, > Column 1: > > Any idea of what went wrong... > > Andrew > > > Demian Katz wrote: > > > > It definitely sounds like there is some sort of problem talking to > your > > Voyager system. That error usually means that PDO_OCI is not working. I know you said that you have installed PDO_OCI, but are you sure it is actually working? Have you tried looking at the output a phpinfo script ("<?php phpinfo(); ?>") on your notebook to see if the PDO and PDO_OCI sections are showing up? If they are missing, something is wrong with the PHP configuration. You might want to recheck php.ini and make sure that the module file is in the right place with the right permissions. - Demian > -----Original Message----- > From: andrewdps [mailto:mst...@gm...] > Sent: Wednesday, March 17, 2010 12:45 PM > To: vuf...@li... > Subject: Re: [VuFind-Tech] Search Results problem > > > > I get the same error except that it says "could not find the driver" > > here is the response file > > <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> > <AJAXResponse> > <br /> > Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'could not > find > driver' in /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php:53 > Stack trace: > #0 /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php(53): > PDO->__construct('oci:dbname=(DES...', 'ro_gmudb', 'ro_gmudb') > #1 /usr/local/vufind/web/CatalogConnection.php(66): > Voyager->__construct() > #2 /usr/local/vufind/web/services/Search/AJAX.php(69): > CatalogConnection->__construct('Voyager') > #3 /usr/local/vufind/web/services/Search/AJAX.php(33): > AJAX->getItemStatuses() > #4 /usr/local/vufind/web/index.php(161): AJAX->launch() > #5 {main} > thrown in /usr/local/vufind/web/Drivers/Voyager.php on line 53<br /> > > and the XML file > XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: > moz-nullprincipal:{6d3bcfa6-d574-4280-8b73-d15e8f254344} Line Number > 13, > Column 1: > > Andrew > > > Demian Katz wrote: > > > > Glad to help!
