I think I see the problem! Based on the URL for your getItemStatuses request, it appears that VuFind is using IDs like "Yordam0000005616679" for identifying records. I suspect that if you run this query: SELECT itemnumber AS ITEMNO, location AS LOCATION, holdingbranch AS HLDBRNCH, reserves AS RESERVES, itemcallnumber AS CALLNO, barcode AS BARCODE, copynumber AS COPYNO, notforloan AS NOTFORLOAN FROM items WHERE biblionumber =' Yordam0000005616679' ORDER BY itemnumber LIMIT 0 , 30 ... you will not get any results. Where is 'Yordam0000005616679' coming from? When you export from Koha, is there a field other than 001 that contains the correct bibliographic record number? Perhaps you just need to adjust your import properties to load "id" from a different field so that everything lines up correctly. - Demian From: Kaygan Zemin [mailto:ze...@gm...] Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2011 3:19 PM To: Demian Katz Cc: vuf...@li... Subject: Re: [VuFind-General] Koha and Vufind Hi Demian, When i run that query, Showing rows 0 - 0 (1 total, Query took 0.0011 sec) SELECT itemnumber AS ITEMNO, location AS LOCATION, holdingbranch AS HLDBRNCH, reserves AS RESERVES, itemcallnumber AS CALLNO, barcode AS BARCODE, copynumber AS COPYNO, notforloan AS NOTFORLOAN FROM items WHERE biblionumber =1 ORDER BY itemnumber LIMIT 0 , 30 here the result; ITEMNO LOCATION HLDBRNCH RESERVES CALLNO BARCODE COPYNO NOTFORLOAN 1 CART CPL NULL 504.3.05 NAT 2000 NULL 1 0 2011/6/15 Demian Katz <dem...@vi...<mailto:dem...@vi...>> Based on the data you have sent, it looks like the Koha driver is configured correctly and is talking to MySQL (since otherwise I would have expected to see an error in your XHR response). Perhaps the problem is that the Koha driver is designed for a version of Koha with a different database structure than the one you are using. Here is the database query that is being used to look up information: select itemnumber as ITEMNO, location as LOCATION, holdingbranch as HLDBRNCH, reserves as RESERVES, itemcallnumber as CALLNO, barcode as BARCODE, copynumber as COPYNO, notforloan as NOTFORLOAN from items where biblionumber = $id order by itemnumber (Note that $id in the query is replaced by the bib ID of a given record). Are you able to access your Koha's MySQL database (perhaps via PHPMyAdmin)? If so, it might be helpful to try executing that query to see what response you get. That might reveal inconsistencies between the driver and your copy of Koha that can be addressed. If you go to the "Mailing Lists" drop-down menu on the bar near the top of the page, there is a "Search Mail Lists" option. However, I've found Sourceforge's search feature to be slow and unreliable -- I usually just use Google like you did. It would definitely nice if we could put together a better solution for finding answers -- the information is out there but it's definitely not convenient to find. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to work on that particular problem right now (building the VuFind 2.0 prototype is my current top priority), but if anybody has any ideas, I'm certainly willing to help get something in place on vufind.org if it won't take too much time to assemble. - Demian > -----Original Message----- > From: Karla Smith [mailto:sm...@wi...] > Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2011 7:11 PM > To: vuf...@li... > Subject: Re: [VuFind-General] Searching Archives? > > Thanks, I must just be blind. When you add records to Koha, it is assigning numbers to them (the biblionumber field in the database). When you load the records into VuFind from Koha, you should use whichever MARC field matches Koha's biblionumber as the id value - this will ensure that VuFind and Koha both recognize the same records as being the same. I'm not sure which MARC field Koha uses for exporting its biblionumber value... but by comparing your MARC export against values in the database, you should be able to figure it out. If it's still not clear, perhaps another Koha user can offer more detailed advice! - Demian From: Kaygan Zemin [mailto:ze...@gm...] Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2011 8:36 AM To: Demian Katz Cc: vuf...@li... Subject: Re: [VuFind-General] Koha and Vufind Forgive me for my limited technical knowledge. Should i change the Yordam.... biblio number (at 001 field ) to another number like just 1, 2 , 3 ... etc? Or use another unique field like 902 field? Could you please explain that what should i do? Regards, Kaygan 2011/6/15 Demian Katz <dem...@vi...<mailto:dem...@vi...>> I think I see the problem! - Demian From: Kaygan Zemin [mailto:ze...@gm...<mailto:ze...@gm...>] Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2011 3:19 PM To: Demian Katz Cc: vuf...@li...<mailto:vuf...@li...> Subject: Re: [VuFind-General] Koha and Vufind Hi Demian, When i run that query, Showing rows 0 - 0 (1 total, Query took 0.0011 sec) SELECT itemnumber AS ITEMNO, location AS LOCATION, holdingbranch AS HLDBRNCH, reserves AS RESERVES, itemcallnumber AS CALLNO, barcode AS BARCODE, copynumber AS COPYNO, notforloan AS NOTFORLOAN FROM items WHERE biblionumber =1 ORDER BY itemnumber LIMIT 0 , 30 here the result; ITEMNO LOCATION HLDBRNCH RESERVES CALLNO BARCODE COPYNO NOTFORLOAN 1 CART CPL NULL 504.3.05 NAT 2000 NULL 1 0 2011/6/15 Demian Katz <dem...@vi...<mailto:dem...@vi...>> Based on the data you have sent, it looks like the Koha driver is configured correctly and is talking to MySQL (since otherwise I would have expected to see an error in your XHR response). Hi All, I want to apologize from all. It has worked! I forgot to add items to biblios. So vufind couldn't find the "items" for biblios. But i think there is still an id problem. Because i changed the all biblios id from yordam... to 1,2,3 etc. Should i change all id's of biblios? Also it is not vufind specialty but i don't understand the koha's holdings logic! I have to add an item for all biblio manually. But what will i do if i import to the koha large collection like 30 thousands or more? Because i changed the all biblios > id from yordam... to 1,2,3 etc. > Should i change all id's of biblios? > If I understood your question correctly, I'd like to inform you that, there is no need to assign biblionumbers manually. When you upload MARC data, Koha will automatically assign a unique biblionumber at 999$c field. If that's not happening in your case, that feature might be turned off from Koha's System Preference/Administration. Also it is not vufind specialty but i don't understand the koha's holdings > logic! > I have to add an item for all biblio manually. But what will i do if i > import to the koha large collection like 30 thousands or more? > Are you asking about Koha? Well, I couldn't find any other way for bulk upload to Koha: bibliographic records along with all the items. We're still adding items from Koha, one by one. When you export bibliographic record in MARC21 format, you'll just upload it into VuFind. The driver will retrieve the associated information i.e. items, holdings etc. from the database. As long as your VuFind id fields match your biblionumber values, things should work correctly. It sounds like you may have to be careful to be sure you don't get your bib numbers and item numbers confused, though - they may look very similar in some cases! - Demian From: Kaygan Zemin [mailto:ze...@gm...] Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2011 9:15 AM To: Demian Katz; vuf...@li... Perhaps you just need to adjust your import properties to load "id" from a different field so that everything lines up correctly. Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about Koha... but hopefully my guess is helpful! - Demian From: Kaygan Zemin [mailto:ze...@gm...<mailto:ze...@gm...>] Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2011 9:42 AM To: vuf...@li...<mailto:vuf...@li...> Cc: Demian Katz Subject: Re: [VuFind-General] Koha and Vufind Any idea? Vufind use 8079 at solr indexing 3. I set the drive as Koha at config.php 4. Changed Authentication type as ILS 5. Changed the koha.ini file like; host = localhost port = 3306 username = root password = ******* (mysql password) database = koha url = http://localhost/opac 6. Imported to the 10 marc records to the Koha. And set the holdings info just for one records (first) for trying. 7. Exported from the Koha 8. Imported to the vufind the 10 marc records (koha.mrc) which exported from koha. 9. Indexed alphabetic browse 10. started vufind But nothing changed. Here the screen shots.
