Hi Brad, I have been thinking about this but haven't had the time yet. I personally would prefer Tweeter Bootstrap. When I created the Blueprint and jquerymobile themes, I had to replicate every .tpl file and work from the top down starting at layout.tpl. I am not sure how much work it would be to port a theme from the 1.x line to the VuFind 2.x, perhaps Demian can chime in since he already did such a migration. If the migration of the theme to 2.0 is not too much work (or manageable amount of work), then I would prefer starting with the 1.4 branch. Most people are still using 1.x line of code and would probably take a while to move over to the 2.x line. Are you implementing the 1.3 code or are you going straight to 2.0? We are about to start working with the VuFind templates and are intending to implement a responsive design using html5. We are also considering using a responsive mobile framework, possibly twitter bootstrap. > • Is anyone else is doing something similar? > • Can anyone recommend a good starting point for this approach? > • Is the best approach to modify the default theme with a child theme or is there a different approach we should consider? > • We are also very interested in any suggestions on best practices for sharing our work with the community. > Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. > > Sincerely, > -- > Brad Busenius > Web Developer > The University of Chicago Library > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Everyone hates slow websites.
