Hello. Demian (again), hello Eoghan, hello all! This is great! Not trying to steal this thread and attentions from the great job you have done in that webinar, by no means, just wanted to share that actually I'm considering using some video tutorials to replace any initial training our users may need when our system enters in production mode. Have done a couple, to show what they could be (proof-of-concept), without any script, in the spur of the moment (namely what I was trying to search/discover [choose 720p, please]): http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=s8XZbFqKKAA http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=LR2Pclu0GPg both are very, very outdated, in what it regards interface (logos included) and features added meanwhile (photos in this set, shared before, are more closer to what the system is, by now: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3458476111842.56295451.1569075303&type=3), as these recordings where done in June. They are very basic, I must say, and are in... Portuguese :| And have done this a lot for out system librarians and other colleagues, on how to perform some specific task as: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=qw-5YCFwQhA (please do not share this link, although it has no confidencial info at all... just in case...) or some that serve as pure logs of a certain specific step (from a few of them (lots), in this case): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTFFWwOQOd8 But the best ones are the ones that involve very complex tasks, and are life savers for my colleagues as I am in a LOA, and the possibility of stopping, rewinding to a point, etc., are priceless so that can perform step-by-step all the procedures without mistakes (those are with voice-over explaining what each step does and possible values, outcomes, etc.). Anyway, back to VuFind I hope to do some in English to share with you all and also for our foreign students (non-PALOP countries [Portuguese speaking community of Countries]). Another idea I had sometime ago was to build a series of interactive pages, like (very incomplete and haven't touched it for 5 months or so): http://cc.doc.ua.pt/iia/ (to get back to the main page, click the (old) symbol of this service) and have a look a entries in 2) as the other ones are mainly text. Ok, enough by now, and thanks for the sharing, Demian! Btw, wouldn't you care doing some small ones for some of the entries in: http://vufind.org/wiki/vufind2:developer_manual? I know, with the amount of work your going through right now (and always), making such a suggestion in being purely mischievous!... :o Ok, have a nice weekend you all, Filipe -------------------------- Filipe Manuel S.
