[VuFind-Tech] NLA fast facets and SOLR 1.3 (was: Facets -- where are the bottlenecks?)

Just a quick update for those interested,

The "fast facets" package available at  ftp://ftp.nla.gov.au/pub/ 
outgoing/vufind/nla-fastfacets.tar.bz2 does not work with the public  
SOLR 1.3 release. I've made the requisite changes locally (small  
stuff), but haven't set up SOLR 1.3 indexes to test the  
functionality. When I have, I'll let people know via the list.

Just a reminder the package above does ship with a nightly release of  
SOLR 1.3 that is compatible, so you can still grab it and have a play  
to see what all the fuss is about.
