Are you able to directly access your Solr index through a web browser? If default settings are in place, it should be:
If that isn’t working, perhaps there is a port conflict. You can capture more information about the Solr startup like this:
JETTY_CONSOLE=/tmp/jetty.log ./vufind.sh restart
This will create a /tmp/jetty.log file with the output from the VuFind startup. If there are any errors in there, you can share them here for further troubleshooting.
