According to the SolrMarc documentation (http://code.google.com/p/solrmarc/wiki/IndexProperties): “Note also, that if no mapping is present for a given input, then no value will be entered for that particular index entry in the Solr index record.”

 

Hopefully that means you can do this fairly simply…  but if you run into trouble, feel free to share your configuration here (I’ve also copied this to solrmarc-tech) for troubleshooting assistance.

Subject: [VuFind-General] Indexing/facet/translation question

 

If I index on a field that I want to use as a facet, that will use a translation table (I want some grouped, ie a-stacks, b-stacks, c-stacks to all end up just Stacks) .. but want to exclude certain field values (ie - I don’t want a facet value at all if its d-stacks)  , what is the cleanest way?  Or when using a translation table does a non-defined value just get ignored?
