During the installation script, im getting command not found for the “pear” commands (before Smarty is installed). From there it all went down hill, the “ chcon –R unconfined_u:object_r:usr_t:s0 /usr/shar/pear/Smarty/* ” couldn’t find the file path making me think that Smarty was probably not installed as well.

I’m working with a VM so i’m attempting it again and if I get the errors I will add some screenshots

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

The installation requirements for 1.4 shouldn’t be any different than those for 1.3…  and even the 2.0 situation isn’t too different.  If you can share some details on the issues you are encountering, perhaps we can help.

I've installed VuFind 1.3 on Centos 6.3 using the Fedora guidelines and didn't have any issues. Haven't tried 1.4 or 2 yet. What issues are you running into? I think some people may have had problems with SELinux.

Sending this to vufind-tech as well.
