Thanks! It would definitely be helpful to have these on a
public site so that we can easily link to them when we announce voting on the
general/tech lists. Perhaps they should just be added to the admin list wiki
We could link the individual responses to the bulleted volunteer
list using anchors for easy reference.
If your beta is still keeping you too busy to work on this (or
if you'd just like to split up the work for sanity's sake), let me know and I
can spend some time tomorrow formatting the page and filling in details
received so far.

Anyway, I dumped the responses so far into the attached pdf. There are still a
few to come, and I can collate the info more usefully then, if necessary.

Sounds fine to me, though don't
feel you have to do any extra work on the weekend just to please those of us on
other parts of the globe. As long as it's ready near the beginning of the
week and you send a note to the list when you're ready for people to start
filling it in, I'm sure everyone will be content.
That sounds fine. I'll make changes as suggestions come in tomorrow and over
the weekend. It is hard to keep track of everyone's time-zones, but how about I
make final changes by midnight GMT on Sunday?

In the interest of keeping
things moving, how about we make the rest of this week the comment period on
the survey. I'll leave it to your discretion how to implement the various
suggestions that come up. We can then spend next week answering the survey
and agreeing on a voting system, vote the first half of the following week, and
have an admin group constituted by October. Then we can get to the
serious work of stabilizing the trunk and making a release.
Does this sound reasonable to

I just checked the membership list, and it looks like all of the VuFind
admin volunteers have joined this list. If anybody has been waiting to
speak until the whole group was present, you can go ahead now. Please let
us know if you have any objections to the proposed policies and group
composition… though I'm hoping the silence means general agreement!
As far as moving forward, I've asked Eoghan to post a link to the skills
survey he's been developing so we can learn more about each other's abilities
and hopefully make more informed decisions in order to build a diverse,
committed and stable admin group. We also need to figure out a voting
procedure to select the group once we have the necessary information available
-- I plan to spend some time looking at LimeSurvey to see if that's a suitable
tool since it's conveniently built into the Sourceforge site, but if there are
other suggestions, I'm happy to hear them.
