Another question related to templates. Or maybe even about services or the indexer. In any case, it's really about subject headings subfield display.

I've noticed that the default Smarty method for looping through MARC fields is to specify each subfield by its code letter (e.g., $a,$b,$c), but with subjects it is to loop through all subfields with no mention of specific code letters.

On the one hand, this is very efficient, since the range of authorized subfields can be quite large.

On the other hand, there are certain subfields that we don't want to display to the public. These include 6XX subfield $2 ("source of terminology", e.g., Art and Architecture Thesaurus) and XXX subfield $6 (linking subfield; often followed by 880 and original script).

Is there a way to specify certain subfields *not* to display? Alternatively, would it be better to rewrite the template so that each subfield is called explicitly?

A simple if statement inside the loop should do the trick.
