I am trying to use tightvnc 1.3.9 on a suse10.3 linux machine. What I
want to achieve is letting someone connect from remote into my machine
in view-only mode, so that I can show him around.
To this end, I am starting the vnc wih the vncserver wrapper script
which correctly asks for the main password (r/w) and then i am asked if
I want to set a view-only password. I enter this one and it seems both
passwords are stored in the vncpasswd file, as afterwards this file is
16 bytes long (8 for main, 8 for view-only).
But when someone connects, only the main password is working. the
read-only password is answered with "authentication failure".
What am I missing?
