Using Firefox 24.2.0
When I use the java viewer embedded in HTML I first see a warning about running the application:

Do you want to run this application?
This application will run with unrestricted access which may put your computer and personal information at risk. Run this application only if you trust the location and publisher above.
This application will be blocked in a future Java security update because the JAR file manifest does not contain the Permssions attribute. Please contact the Publisher for more information.

At the same time the Java console shows:
Missing Application-Name manifest attribute for: http://192.168.1.200:86/v8/program_resources/tightvnc2.7.2.jar

I then click the Run button on the warning and nothing ever happens.
I experience a similar situation in Chrome Version 33.0.1750.58 beta-m where I click Run and it just sits and doesn't do anything.

I get the same errors when using the java viewer inside a web application.

There are a couple workarounds, namely adding the targeted site to your list of exceptions in the java control panel, or setting the security settings down to medium (the lowest possible setting).
