    I'm using TightVNC Viewer 2.6.4 (built Nov 20 2012) on a 64-bit Win7 PC to control my Mac Mini (2.3 GHz i7 2012) with OS X 10.8.2.

It works great, but still there's the error: RemoteViewerCore: Unknown exception
I get the impression that it happens during certain screen changes on the Mac...

For example: When I add a new movie to the Plex server on Mac mini, it will search for the movie info online. When it finds the cover graphics for the movie, you'll see it change in Plex/Web... most of the times. Because sometimes I get the RemoteViewerCore error during the wait. When I restart TightVNC immediatly, I'll often see the new cover is loaded during the few seconds offline.

It seems to error at random and not too often... but when it happens, It always seems at window changes, graphics loading, scrolling etc. And it's not per definition when it's controlled from TightVNC... It may also happen when I don't touch the PC and the Mac at all (but some screendata may have changed...).

  • Sorry. Fix in TightVNC 2.6 not fix all problems with connection to OS X.
This problem will be fixed in nearest version of TightVNC 2.7.

It seems like the fix works.
Last night I used 2.6.94 for about half an hour and it did not crash.
Today it's running for a few hours already without any problems.

    Thanks!
