Hi David, indeed the anisotropic diffusion module you're probably referring to is not the equivalent of ved or vedm in vmtk. The former, probably, but if you let me know the exact name I can confirm, is based on the itk::CurvatureAnisotropicDiffusionImageFilter ITK class, which is not specific to vessels - see here for details: http://public.kitware.com/Insight/Doxygen/html/classitk_1_1CurvatureAnisotropicDiffusionImageFilter.html) which is different from vessel enhancing diffusion, here: http://www.insight-journal.org/browse/publication/314 (vedm) and here: http://www.insight-journal.org/browse/publication/163 (ved) Note that Slicer has a SlicerVMTK extension developed by Daniel Haehn, where you'll find ved among the vessel enhancement tools.
