Hello

This tool is really nice.
The commercial version from cisco (User Registration
Tool) offers a feature that the vpq client will be informed
if a change on the vlan assignment occurs. Is this also
possible with OpenVMS ?

For example:

If I move a mac-address from one vlan to another, so i
have to change the line in the vmps.db, from "address
0010.a49f.30e3 vlan-name TEST" to
"address 0010.a49f.30e3 vlan-name TEST1"

It would be nice that this change will be automatically
send to the client. With the current version i have to do
a shut and no shut or something else on the ethernet
port on the switch. I hope you understand what i mean,
because my english is terrible ;)

I suspect URT keeps stateful information about which switch and
switchport were last assigned for a MAC address, and then when that
MAC's configuration changes, it uses SNMP to shutdown/no shutdown the
    port.

openvmps doesn't keep an internal register of which switch and port
have been assigned for a MAC address, and so can't do this without a lot
    of rewriting. Sorry.
