It seems to me that the claim that Virtuawin supports multiple monitors
actually means that it doesn't freak out when you have two monitors. It
doesn't actually support them in the way you would expect a virtual desktop
manager to do, as in have two different virtual desktops on each monitor. I
can't be that disappointed however, as the only one that does support
independent monitors is Actual Virtual Desktops, and it is not only
ludicrously expensive for this sort of program, but it doesn't allow for
independent icons on the independent desktops. Virtuawin has this
functionality through a module, which, as far as I can tell, makes it the
only VD program that does this. So My request is to make Virtuawin Identify
specific monitors, and either have an individual list of desktops for that
monitor only, or for each monitor to be able to access a pool of desktops,
and not display the same one twice. If it can do that, then it will be the
perfect VD system.
I was searching for multiple monitor support too. You can try this soft if you have win7 : https://sourceforge.net/projects/dualmonitortb/
Along with virtuawin, it give me the setup i want.
I have now 1 different desktop on each of my monitor, when i switch from one virtual desktop to anoter, it switch the two monitor at once.
(You can create a Window Rules, on the process name DualMonitor.exe, and check "Show windows of this type on all desktops")
