I’m just trying to fetch current version from the repository as anonymous using the standard commands:

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@videodb.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/videodb login

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@videodb.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/videodb co -P videodb

When I execute the first one and use just a CR for password I get

cvs [login aborted]: connect to videodb.cvs.sourceforge.net(216.34.181.110):2401 failed: Connection refused

Is anonymous login disabled?

This might be the CVS issue:

You'll need to update your password?

Best regards,
Andreas

Is there something wrong with the CVS repository at Source Forge?

I have been trying for the past few days to fetch from there and I keep getting the “Connection Refused” message.  Attempts to browse the repository in the Web Browser return an error page too.

Can someone check to confirm it is not just me doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Jim

connectivity to a physical network are well understood - see how these
