I started a basic tetris project. Here's a video of a drop effect test: http://vimeo.com/3796249 It's very early on, but in the unlikely event this appeals to somebody: http://code.google.com/p/vegalib - C |

Well the solution is attached! Copy horrible capitalized text into the top textarea, hit 'convert' and collect sanitized text in the lower textarea. (Nice simple example for Vexi!) - C (Cross-posted to core for, well, nobody else is subscribed to chat!) |

I created a section for Vexi games on the FreeGameDev forums: http://forum.freegamedev.net/index.php?t=thread&frm_id=30 Highlight is the first release of "Footy Wiz" - a Sensible Soccer like arcade football game. Of course, it's only version 0.0.1 so don't expect too much. ;-) - C |

Qudobup, Thank you for the insight into the ambiguities of the description. I shall try and come up with something a bit better then, if you don't mind, get your feedback on that. :-) Btw I'm the same Charlie as the one working on Fortress - and this was definitely the right place to post this message. Thanks for making the effort to do so. Correct Fortress link: http://freegamer.freeforums.org/viewforum.php?f=26 - Charlie PS. I added you on Google Talk if you use that. And I also sent this mail directly to you as well as the list as you are not subscribed. ;-) |

Hi, I wanted to mention, that you could & should improve the introduction: "Vexi is a platform for creating and publishing Graphical User Interfaces that can be used over the Internet or an intranet. It features a very simple and powerful syntax based on xml and javascript, a set of complete, extensible, themable widgets, and a sandbox-like security model to protect users." Do you mean by 'platform' 'language'? 'A platform' appears to be an unspecific term to me. What does 'publishing a gui' mean? Replacing 'internet or an intranet' by 'network' would make sense, since inter-/intranet are just specific forms of networks. (I am wrong?) All my criticism may build on my complete non-knowledge of gui-tools/languages, but I am sure that in general the text (Overview/Why Vexi?) has a feeling of being too self-flattering (which is ok) and not being straight to the point (which is not ok). Seeya, qubodup PS: I'm posting here because the fortress project uses vexi for it's gui (http://freegamer.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?) |
