hmm......can I expect the value returned by this function to change
*immediately* after adding the jump drive (using the mpl stuff you
said)? I see the jump drive, and it doesn't disappear when I upgrade,
but for some reason, I never get VS.getPlayer().GetJumpStatus()>-2
