#4 *.dl_ files in CVS repository

No

I have checked out the sources of the project in my
WinXP box with TortoiseCVS and discovered that all
release\*.dl_ files were corrupted because, as those
files are stored in the repository as if they were
normal text files, the CVS client interpreted line
endings using Windows conventions, not Unix ones.

Is it possible to delete and reinsert those files in
the repository as binary files? (I think this is what
they are) This is causing me some unconveniences.

TIA.

Paulo.

    Hi!
I'm looking for a definitive solution.
Your can obtain a copy of CVS (with *.DL_ files) in files
    section vbdox2_0_30_src.zip.
No changes in source code in 2.0.40, see release notes for
    more information.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'll get the files from the .zip file; the only problem with
this will be that, every time I do a cvs update, the correct
files will be replaced with the corrupted versions because
cvs will think they have changed.

I'll check to see whether this is an issue only using the
    cvs client I use (ToroiseCVS).

    Paulo.

Hey, I discovered that the problem is not so related to the
fact that the files are binary or not in the repository. The
truth is that, when I checkout/update those files, I end up
with files that are 5K long, and that is not OK at all.

Can anyone checkout those files correctly?

BTW, not even getting the latest release of the files
through the web interface works for me.

Well, I'll give up. Though I couldn't get correctly the
files through cvs, I was able to get them anyway following
Carlos' advice (files were actually in the 2.0.11 bundle).

I'm starting to feel inappropiate to insist with this case
as it may not be worth the time of anyone.

Thanks a lot for your help and I apologize if I bothered too
    much.

    Paulo.

    Hi!
CVS has updated with a binary version of DL_ files.
    Now works OK.
