I triy to install Mandrake 9.2 through umlbuilder after modifying the /usr/lib/uml/umlbuilder/profiles/Mandrake9.0.p and save it as /usr/lib/uml/umlbuilder/profiles/Mandrake9.1.p But it do not work. I get the following messages: # umlbuilder --distro Mandrake9.1 --modules base,X,kde --hostname testUML.PrivateLAN.at --rpmdir /mnt/md2/Installs/Linux/MDK9.1 --dir /mnt/md2/vmware/UML-Drives/testUML --ipaddr 192.168.0.111 --initrd true --umlargs devfs=mount Indexing RPMS ========================================|100% Done. What I have not read ;-) ? I am sure, the problem is the mount of the /dev filesystem. For boot the MDK9.1 in my native system see /etc/lilo.conf <<snipp>> image=/boot/vmlinuz label=Linux root=/dev/md0 append="devfs=mount ide0=ata66 ide1=ata66 hdd=ide-scsi" read-only <<snipp>> In my native system I have to configure "devfs=mount" so linux do mount the /dev filesystem. What should I do that UML-Linux also will mount the /dev ? I have tried --umlargs devfs=mount but this do not work. -- Don't panic |

Therefore I think there is a mount point. Typically MDK do not mount the /dev filesystem therefore it is to descripe in the lilo.conf. But how I can descripe it through umlbuilder? -- Don't panic |
