FROM: The desk of Mr. Don Zbayo, Ecowas Bank (ECOBANK), Abuja Federal Capital Territory - NIGERIA. Our Ref: EB/04/102/006 If you are familiar with private banking affairs, those who patronize our services usually prefer anonymity, but also some levels of detachment from conventional processes. In the field of private banking, opening an account with us means no one will know of its existence, accounts are rarely held under a name; depositors use numbers and codes to make the accounts anonymous. This bank also gives the choice to depositors of having their mail sent to them or held at the bank itself, ensuring that there are no traces of the account and as I said, rarely do they nominate next of kin. Private banking clients apart from not nominating next of kin, also in most cases leave TESTATES in our care; in this case; the deceased died without a testate. This is a proposal in context but actually an appeal soliciting for your unreserved assistance in consummating an urgent transaction requiring maximum confidence. Though this approach appears desperate, I can assure you that whatever questions you would need to ask or any other thing you will need to know regarding this proposal will be adequately answered to give you a clearer understanding of it, so as to arrive at a successful conclusion. My name is Mr. Don Zbayo, Manager in charge of bills and exchange and staff of Ecowas Bank, Nigeria. On February 17, 2002, an Army officer of the Nigerian Army in person of Major General A.N. Bamali with GOC 2 Division came to our bank to engage in business discussions with our private banking division. He informed us that he had a financial portfolio of US$11,000,000.00, which he wished to have us turn over (invest) on his behalf. I was the officer assigned to his case. Upon maturity, I sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but got no reply. After a month, I sent a reminder and finally we discovered from his base, GOC 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, that Major A.N. Bamali at that time was on special duty and could not be reached. As it is mandatory of us, we sent another notification on the 25th of September this year only to discover that our client, Major General A.N. Bamali died from a Nigerian Military plane crash on Sunday, 17 September 2006. Barely a week before the notification was sent. READ from: http://www.nigeriamasterweb.com/NigeriaMilitaryPlaneCrashVictims.html On further investigation, I found out that he died without making a WILL, and all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless. I therefore made further investigation and discovered that Late Major General A.N. Bamali did not declare any next of kin or relations in all his official documents, including his Bank Deposit paperwork in our Bank. >From past experiences, I know that no one will ever come forward to claim the deceased funds. According to ECOWAS Banking Law, at the expiration of 3 (three) years, the funds will be "unclaimable" and revert to the ownership of the bank if nobody applies to claim the funds. In order to avert this negative development, I now seek your permission to allow my attorney do a CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP/REASSIGNMENT OF CREDIT of stated funds from the "deceased" to your name, so that the funds (US$11million) would be released to you. We share the proceeds 50/50. I would have gone ahead to ask the funds be released to me, but that would have drawn a straight line to me and my involvement in claiming the deposit. For us to commence, I will like you to provide the following information immediately; 1. Full names 2. City 3. Country Once I receive this information, an attorney whom I have hired will prepare the necessary documents, which will put you in place as the new owner of the funds. My Bank will release the funds to you. There is no risk at all as an attorney who will prepare all the paperwork for this transaction and exchange, and my position as the manager in charge of bills; guarantees the successful execution of this transaction. If you are interested, as I feel you may be, please reply immediately via my private email address (zb...@pc...). Upon your response, I shall then provide you with more details, and further explanation that will help you understand the transaction. I await your swift response hoping you accept my proposal, as time is of equal essence in this project as well as is confidentiality. Thank you and have a nice day. Respectfully yours, Don Zbayo. |
