I have compiled custom kernel from kernel.org with
skas3 patch. When I try to boot root_fs image display
this error message:
Kernel panic: SIGILL caused by cmov, which this
processor doesn't implement, boot a filesystem
compiled for older processors.
My CPU is a AMD-K6/III. Is this a problem to execute

I have the same processor and the same errors
from the root_fs for redhat 7.3 from the usermodelinux
download site. The processor is incompatible for
the SIGILL reason.
Tom's Root boot root_fs worked for me, as did the debian
base root_fs. Since I need a RH7.3 or 8.0, I'm working
on building one.
umlbuilder_gui (1.40) failed 8 times using RH7.3 rpms
with various configurations.
I'm looking into building one with the other
tools for this processor now. But so far no
