Looking at some old logs of mine, I realised it is just over 20 months
since I first downloaded and started to play with uml. Since then, it
has been quite an interesting ride. I have learnt a lot about how the
kernel works (often due to wondering "why has it crashed now"?) and
benefited heavily from having a testing tool for my various system
experiments, both at work and at home (a.k.a "play"). Being able to just
drop a CD containing one of the stock images and run a few scripts to
get a pristine test system is an enormous time saver.
So, thankyou Jeff (and others). The constant stream of patches, bug
fixes, and mailing list posts are much appreciated, even if I (and
others) don't say so as much as we maybe should.
On the other hand, you have different fingers.
