Hi, I can't setup networking in an UML box. I passed eth0=ethertap,tap0,C0:FF:EE:C0:FF:EE,192.168.0.240 to linux. linux has Network support, as described in the guideline. When doing a ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.220 up in my UML box "SIOCSIFFLAGS: Invalid argument" appears on screen. The documentation about setting up networking makes me dizzy. It is very complicated and hard to understand. I am *not* a Newbie, I use Linux for a few years. Greetz, Tom -- Preissler Thomas |
