Well, I'd like to update my previous plea for help.
>have gotten to the point where the
>installation boots, the installer works, but no files come through the network
>mounts used by the installer (nfs, ftp, http).
I can get the netstg1.img file to download by http or ftp, but not nfs. NFS
shares still lock up on me using UML 2.4.19, 2.4.21, and 2.4.21-djc1. However,
I now get an error where the installer says:
" Error mounting /dev/ram3 on
/mnt/runtime (Invalid argument).
This shouldn't happen, and I'm
rebooting your system now "
And one of the virtual terminals has the lines:
"<4>VFS: Can't find ext2 filesystem on dev ramdisk(1,3)."
This is using three different versions of netstg1.img: original for RH7.3
(cramfs), original with modified /usr/sbin/probe as per Oleg's instructions
(cramfs), and modified original but using ext2 image instead of cramfs. All
three have the same problems.
Any hints? This would be an extremely useful tool for me, but I've spent a
solid week attempting to even get this far with it and I'm running out of time
that I can tinker without making more progress.
