I personnally think that the ability to debug the kernel and to stop in
the middle of any file is a powerful feature of the uml, especially when
learning about the kernel.
That's why, I was wondering if it was possible to use another debugger
instead of gdb. Something like ddd or insight are very useful to have a
"graphical" viewpoint of the many datasructures.
I know the problem is not so simple, as the ptproxy spawns the gdb
process with its file descriptors directly attached to the debugging
terminal (am I right?). I tried a to put another child debugger, but it
was unsuccessful (certainly because of the above).
Any ideas about the subject ?
