OK, I merged that except for the ptrace stuff. <sys/ptrace.h> on my box
defines PTRACE_* as enum members instead of #defines (and including
<linux/ptrace.h> leaves ptrace() undeclared), which breaks gdb support badly.
So, it looks like another approach is needed. Maybe moving that stuff out to
a arch-dependent file where you don't have to ask what you've got.
