Hi all, Being a newbie in the area of UML, I tried to create my own kernel. I took a vanilla 2.4.26 and patched it with the host-skas3 patch, which went smoothly. The host boots up just fine. For the client, I started with a vanilla 2.4.26 kernel, and applied the file 'uml-patch-2.4.26-1' to it. So far, so good... The client, however, simply doesn't boot up. It just says "map : /proc/mm map failed, err = 1 " when starting the binary, thus spamming my console. A google search didn't turn out any reasonable solutions to this, either. After some time, it simply exits with a segfault. If you are curious about my configs used, they can be found here: http://baer.mine.nu/uml/hostconfig (config used for the host kernel) http://baer.mine.nu/uml/clientconfig (client kernel) Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm gowing slightly mad... Thank you very much in advance, Oliver Gmelch |
