Hi all, when trying to build the Debian kernel source package with uml patch, I get the following error: make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.22/arch/i386/kernel' gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.22/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-co mmon -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i386 -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -DKBUILD_BASENAM E=sys_i386 -c -o sys_i386.o sys_i386.c sys_i386.c: In function `do_mmap2': sys_i386.c:59: warning: passing arg 1 of `do_mmap_pgoff' from incompatible pointer type sys_i386.c:59: warning: passing arg 2 of `do_mmap_pgoff' makes pointer from integer without a cast sys_i386.c:59: error: too few arguments to function `do_mmap_pgoff' make[1]: *** [sys_i386.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.22/arch/i386/kernel' make: *** [_dir_arch/i386/kernel] Error 2 I am using the latest compiler, e.g. gcc-3.3 to build this. A search on google turns it up as a problem with the UML patch, bu t I didn't find a resolution to the problem. Is there a fix for it? (Note that I am trying to build a kernel for a Debian host with the skas3 patch.) Thanks, Millis |
