renaming the project is a decision which was born 2 years ago. One of
the reasons is the to long and the bad sounding name.
The new name will be uranos (referable to the greek god). Wich is [or
can be] a acronym for:
"Unattended Resolution in A Nutshell - Open Source"
"Unattended Replication in A Nutshell - Open Source"
"Unattended Replay in A Nutshell - Open Source"
"Unattended Repetition in A Nutshell - Open Source"
"Unattended - Rapid As Nuts - Open Source"
"Uranos is a Rapid As nuts Network Ob-Server"
What will be affected? What will change for you? After the renaming is
complete, you have to change the following:
- Software -
Point the external repositories to: http://uranos.sourceforge.net/www/
- Installation -
Point the URL to: http://uranos.sourceforge.net/www/ if you want to sync
the harddisk and os templates
- Main settings / Update -
Set the "Update path" to https://uranos.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/uranos
I dont know if this rename will break the update. But it should be
possible to solve this before the next update is comming.
Also the Mailinglists will be renamed. Check out the
http://sourceforge.net/projects/uranos/ for more informations. This will
be the main announcement site for the next time till all is running fine
after the rename.
