#126 connection breaks unrecoverable since 2.6.29

umtsmon 0.9
Fonic stick via USB
sidux kernel 2.6.29-1.slh.1-sidux-686
error happens with any older 2.6.29
error did not happen with 2.6.28 and before
error happens with EPlus as well as O2

what I did:
started umtsmon, the connection

what I expected:
stay connected as long as I do not disconnect, because I do not travel and do have the same field intensity all the time.

what I got:
The connection breaks down with no obvious cause.
umtsmon does not find any network anymore.
I can exit umtsmon, but that does not help: no network if I restart umtsmon.
Disconnecting the Fonic USB stick an restart umtsmon helps.
This happens too often and can not be treated as a practical work-around.

I think the output of 'dmesg' might help us here - what does the kernel say about this?
