    Hi,

I'm one of those that hasn't been participating here, so sorry for bothering you.

I'm only looking for a way to get an updated version of UFraw that works with my raw files.

Could you tell me what is the simplest way for me to do this?

    Br,
    gummih

You do not mention what OS you are on. If you are a Linux user, instructions to download and compile current development versions are on the UFRaw website. If you are a Windows use…I have no idea, probably you'll have to wait until some kind soul makes an installer. Not many kind souls left.

Lesson: use Linux if you want cutting edge

    Thanks for the reply,

    I use Ubuntu.

What are you referring to when you say "instructions to download and compile current development versions are on the UFRaw website"

    See https://sourceforge.net/scm/?type=cvs&group_id=127649

    cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@ufraw.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ufraw login

    cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@ufraw.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ufraw co -P ufraw

After that, it's the regular configure, make and make install to get it up and running.

  • Make sure you have all the libraries installed by using these commands on Ubuntu:

    sudo apt-get build-dep ufraw
    sudo apt-get install automake autoconf

Read the README file after downloading the cvs code. The file contains a section with the headline "Building UFRaw from CVS".

    Regards,
    Niels Kristian

Hi guys, and thanks for the instructions

I'm now using the CVS(0.19) and it's working great

here's what I did to get it to work

Install CVS (it is not included in Ubuntu 12.04)

    sudo apt-get install cvs

    Get the CVS source:

    cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@ufraw.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ufraw login
    cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@ufraw.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ufraw co -P ufraw

actually used this one since today's source was reported broken:

    cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@ufraw.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ufraw co -D 2012-06-18 ufraw

    cd ufraw
     sudo apt-get build-dep ufraw

(had to configure update to use the main server instead of the icelandic server because of missing files)
    install automake and autoconf

    sudo apt-get install automake autoconf

    ./autogen.sh

    Configure, build and install

    ./configure --enable-mime
    make
    make install
