CVS available

An initial version of libuci is now available via CVS. It's not complete or ready for using by any stretch of the imagination, but it's progressing.. This will hopefully be useful for those of you out there who've been wanting to help out but needed to see some code to work with first..

UCI Project Renamed

The UCI project, formerly "Unix Codec Interface", has been renamed to the "Universal Codec Interface" project. This new name is intended to reflect its new broader goals for cross-platform support (potentially including non-unix-like operating systems) which have been adopted by the project.

The primary goal of the project remains the same, to create a portable, consistent, and well-designed interface for multimedia applications and codecs to communicate with each other, on a variety of operating systems and platforms.... read more

UCI SourceForge Project Created!

Well, I should have gotten around to doing this earlier, but (as you've no doubt figured out already) the SourceForge project for the Unix Codec Interface project has been created, and we'll be setting up maillists and CVS soon.
