Now, past compiling, I now have runtime errors.
On starting QuestApplication, I have:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.VerifyError: (class: mikera/tyrant/QuestApp, method: gameOver signature: ()V) Incompatible object argument for function call
I am using:
java version "1.5.0-beta2"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0-beta2-b51)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0-beta2-b51, mixed mode, sharing)
..... this is frustrating :).
Sorry, note that this happens when running my compiled version, out of a jar file.
The bin version runs fine.
No probs - we should still try to figure out what is causing the problem though. I'd like Tyrant to run on all recent versions of Java - so we need to support 1.5 pretty soon...... if you manage to figure out what was causing the problem please let me know (or patch it!)
It's a known bug in 1.5.
In 1.4.1 it still happened though, so strange..
I used to have that problem too... until I upgraded to JRE 1.4.2_04. There's a few other threads here that discuss it, I think...
