On my p3 dell 550 with 320 meg RAM, 2000 pro. It runs
at about 2 frames per second, (32mb NVIDEA tnt2) and
thats not only in the game, for the menu system and
all I get amazingly slow performance.

This is not a bug with tuxracer. Check your openGL setup.

I have the same problem on a Duron 850mHz with 256 RAM
running w2k pro with nvidia rivatnt2. I have checked
whatever is possible of opengl setup, and games like Half-
Life, q3, serious sam etc. runs perfectly well.. But
    tuxracer is _very_ laggy.

    Exactly the same here on a P3 Dell 650 256MB, NT4 SP6 Build
    1381, Ati Rage Pro 1.1.3, resolution=1024*769...

Same problem on my 450z, 128mb, W98, ATI All-In-Wonder PRO.

I worked arround it this way:

    I set "bpp_mode 0" in ..\TuxRacer\config\options.txt and
set my desktop to 16 bit color.

Verified on Windows XP with all sorts of upgrades. I'll
try the suggestions listed here, but can't the development
    folks fix this?
