Downloading stamps from the downloadpage on the TuxPaint-website with the tuxpaint-stamps-2009-06-28-win32-installer.exe does not supply all the stamps listed in the stamps-gallery (see "Stamps-download.JPG" attached). That's a great pity.
I made a couple of experiments to download direct from the stazmps-gallery a .PNG and a .SVG stamp. For the latter l made a .PNF version via Inkscape. For both I made a small .txt file to get the Dutch names on the screen-bottom. I put the lot in the appropriate TuxPaint folders and restarted Tux Paint.
Yes! Tux Paint had made all by itself icons of the new stamps on the sidebar
And it displayed them allright. But for some reason my textfiles that seem to be in the same format as those of already existing stamps only display a poor "??A" instead of the real names.
The situation is shown in the "new stamps downloaded.JPG"-image attached. The T-shirt in the middle is an old stamp. The eye and the jacket are new ones. The three .txt files are also shown.
Maybe with time I shall find out what is wrong. At this point if anybody knows what it is or may be, thank you for letting me know.
I just downloaded "A new zebra" from the STAMPS-pages on the website. The last one on: http://www.tuxpaint.org/stamps/?cat=animals&page=12
The original is an SVG-image that I exported with Inkscape to a .png and attached here as a JPG.
I fabricated zebra2.txt (A grazing zebra + nl) and zebra2.dat files. In the latter I made it
It tints in a wink (here in brown), as well the great as the small one. And as well the zebra2.svg and zebra2.png files are both present in the "equines"-directory. Fine!
I begin to suspect there is not really a bug here...
