In TuxPaint stamps 0.9.17 Windows version, the pink birthday cake stamp does not seem to work. The cursor is a dot instead of a cake, and no image is provided when the mouse button is clicked.

This problem occurred using a fresh installation of 0.9.17 on a Windows machine. A workaround was to press the Alt key when printing, which opens up a printer dialog. Thereafter, the printing worked fine. Until the printer dialog is opened, it was not possible to print.

That last comment was intended to be for Item 1748705 for Tuxpaint regarding printing.

FYI, works in Tux Paint CVS on Linux with librsvg2 and cairo2. Assigning to John Popplewell.

Yep I can confirm this. The file in the bundle is OK, it displays in Firefox. It is the only .svg file to contain CDATA elements (bitmap data?) so I guess the oldsvg stuff either doesn't support it, or I missed an optional dependency. It says something about 'adobe_illustrator_pgf'.

This came up before didn't it - bother.

There was a suggestion from Karl Ove Hufthammer that it might be because of 'gradients'. I'll look into it.

A temporary 'fix' for now is to just delete the file:

    C:\Program Files\TuxPaint\data\stamps\food\dessert\cartoon\pink_cake.svg

so that it falls-back to using the pink_cake.png image,

    cheers,
    John.

John P. is working on building Tux Paint with the newer SVG rendering libraries, so closing this bug, lest we forget.
