      Hi,

please, open a command line (go to start > execute and run the command cmd), and cd into the folder where you installed Tuxguitar.. its very easy, you can open that folder with Windows Explorer and then copy the address from the location bar and paste it in the console between quotes.. so the command should be something like this:

      cd "c:\Program Files\TuxGuitar"
(of course, the folder names may change in your system)

once you're in tuxguitar's home folder, you can run this command:

      java -cp TuxGuitar.jar;lib\swt.jar;lib\itext-1.4.2.jar;share\ -Djava.library.path=lib\ org.herac.tuxguitar.gui.TuxGuitar

This command will run TuxGuitar the same way as the exe, the only difference is that this way, you will be able to see the error that's causing TuxGuitar to crash...

Please, copy the error message and send it to us.

      cheers

    • Hi..
this is a tuxguitar bug... i will fix for the next version.. the problem is because tuxguitar try to
load the default system language (if LANGUAGE is no setted at config.properties)
so..when i put this option.. i don;t test tuxguitar without default system lang..

you can copy messages_en.properties to messages_de.properties
this file is at TuxGuitar home folder /share/lang
(if you have installed .deb version.. there is at
      /usr/share/TuxGuitar-xxx/lang

other option is change the tuxguitar config file
      (config.properties) adding:
      LANGUAGE=en

      Bye..
