I like Turbo Pad. Its a clean and fast program with
very useful features. A feature I miss is the
possibility to switch to another kind of cursorcontrol
which allows you to move the cursor to any position of
a line, no matter if there is some text or the cursor
is beyond the end of the line. (like the very old
DOS-programm edit [i think its a part of M$-DOS]).
UltraEdit, for example, has this feature, too (someone
told me this kind of cursorcontrol is called virtual
spaces).I think this kind of cursorcontrol is very
useful and has some advantages. For example: when the
cursor is somewhere and you move it up or down, it
moves straight up/down. Whereas the conventionally
cursorcontrol will place the cursor always at the end
of the line, if the line is shorter than the original
line (Jump to EOL).
It would be really great if Text Pad would have this
"Virtual-Spaces-Cursorcontrol" (as an option).
